I was so disappointed! :( I’d been planning to shop at My Basic for quite some time because I finally wanted to have something decent in my closet—made in Poland—instead of just clothes from chain stores. I bought a muslin set consisting of a top and shorts. After receiving the package, I tried the clothes on, decided they were okay, so I cut off the tags. Then I wanted to wash them according to the instructions so as not to damage anything, and suddenly I read that this garment might shrink by 5 to 10% in the wash. So after a few washes, they’ll be too small for me 🤦 Okay, in that case, I’ll wash them by hand—after all, I wanted these clothes to last a long time; I guess that’s the whole point of shopping at stores like this... While washing them by hand, I noticed that this plum-colored set bleeds so much that the water turned burgundy. Now I’m afraid to wear it in the heat because if I sweat, my skin will probably get stained too :/ I’ll probably get a response saying that somewhere in some clause of the terms and conditions it mentions that the clothes shrink and bleed, but I think that’s not fair...

My favorite shorts for summer trips—I wore them on a week-long, sweltering boat trip, and ever since then, they’ve been a must-have for all kinds of adventures. You can’t tell when they get wrinkled, the fabric is super forgiving, the pockets are just the right size, and the waistband is sturdy (I hate it when elastic-waisted pants slide down after I put my phone in the pocket—I don’t have that problem with these :)
