The merino wool cap is wonderfully soft and delicate, it does not bite and has anti-allergenic properties. Wool has breathable fibers that absorb a lot of moisture and perfectly wick it away from the skin, leaving it dry. This prevents overheating, among other things. Merino hats do a great job of thermoregulation - they keep you warm when it's cold outside, and prevent your body from overheating once you get indoors. This is very important for children.

This is a great merino wool hat. It pilled a little during the first season, but after I "shaved" off the fuzz, it didn't happen again. We've been wearing it for several years, and it still looks great.
