What to wear on a trip to the forest and what for a city break. We suggest what outfit for a trip will work well and what not to forget.
Spring is the time when we plan more trips than in winter. Warm weather encourages us to leave the house and spend time more actively. It's worth getting away from home even for a moment, even a short, one-day trip can be very enjoyable. The destination can be a trip into nature, but also sightseeing in other cities. We suggest what clothes for a trip may come in handy.
Outfit for a trip – choose comfort
Clothing for a trip should above all be comfortable. There are no exceptions to this rule. Even the best outfit, if uncomfortable, will spoil our trip. So on a trip we should above all make sure that the chosen clothes have been tried and tested. Let's not choose new clothes, and certainly not decide on newly bought shoes. New footwear may look beautiful, but if it turns out to pinch, it can ruin the whole day and such a trip won't be a success for us.
What to wear on a trip? Outfit for a city trip
Navy blue striped men's T-shirt and sea blue striped women's T-shirt
An outfit for a city trip may differ from what we'd wear for a forest walk. If we're going to explore the city and its attractions, such as museums, we have more options and our outfit doesn't have to differ much from what we wear every day. Let's choose our favourite trousers that are comfortable, and sports shoes. We don't recommend elegant shoes, especially high heels. Clothing for a city trip doesn't have to differ from everyday attire, however we recommend choosing practical clothes. This could be a comfortable dress such as the light blue sleeveless midi dress for women, which will work perfectly in many situations. For men, a white men's T-shirt and favourite trousers will be suitable. Clothing for a city trip can be in bright colours, in this case there's no need to worry, unlike when heading out into the countryside. An outfit for a city trip for children can be the same set that children wear to school or nursery.
How to dress for a trip – an outdoor excursion

When we're planning a longer walk outside the city and intend to walk more, our outfit also needs to be a bit different. We must also bear in mind that in the forest we're on our own, at least for a while. There's no shop nearby where you can buy a drink when it's hot, or a place where you can eat something at any time. When setting off on a one-day trip, we don't need to make big preparations, but it's worth taking sandwiches and drinks with us. The outfit must also take into account the fact that we'll be walking more.
We therefore recommend comfortable trousers, tracksuit-style models such as black sweatpants for teenagers work well. You can also choose comfortable leggings. These are suitable trousers for both children and adults, everyone will feel comfortable in them. It's worth pairing such trousers with a comfortable basic T-shirt. Regardless of the weather, it's worth stocking up on a sweatshirt. Even if it's warm in the morning when we set off. There's less sun in the forest and it can get chilly. Besides, long-sleeved outerwear can help protect against ticks that may be found in the forest. Navy blue zip-up sweatshirt for children is a comfortable option that will work well in changeable weather. Adults should also stock up on such a comfortable model. Grey women's hooded sweatshirt will be a very versatile choice that matches other colours in the wardrobe. For men, a classic grey or blue men's hooded sweatshirt will be equally useful. So think about outerwear, in this case white won't be suitable. During a forest trip, it's much easier to get dirty.
An outfit for a trip isn't everything, take care of headwear too
The right outfit we choose for a trip is very important. However, we shouldn't forget that footwear should also be comfortable. Match the shoes to the circumstances, for a city trip outfit choose everyday, comfortable shoes or sports footwear that matches the outfit. For the forest and outdoors, choose comfortable trainers or hiking boots if you have them. Sandals or flip-flops definitely won't work there, they'll make walking difficult, and pine needles and twigs may get into the shoes. Another important issue not to forget when going on a trip is headwear. Especially now, as it's getting warmer. Summer hat is an important piece of equipment for a trip, too much sun exposure can be harmful, especially for children, but adults should take care of this too.
