Children grow quickly and change clothing sizes more often than adults. However, this doesn't stop them from changing clothes even several times a day. They are explorers of the world around them – they learn to drink, eat, walk and run on their own, and all of this, of course, means getting dirty frequently.
How to choose children's clothing so it lasts as long as possible?
The first step towards being satisfied with our purchase is choosing quality fabric. Let's choose clothes with the most natural composition. Remember that the price of products doesn't always reflect their quality, which is why it's so important to read labels carefully. Let's also pay attention to how carefully a garment is sewn – this will guarantee that it won't change its shape after washing. Buying good quality clothes is only half the success; the second, more important step is putting a few simple practices into action, and you'll see real magic happen. You probably already know most of the tricks, but everyone might find something new and eye-opening.
Caring for children's clothes - a few tips

To keep clothes' colours vibrant, prevent shrinking and maintain their shape, a few basic rules should be followed. This will help maintain good condition for a long time.
- Colour sorting – whites should only be washed with whites; sort the rest into groups of similar colours (e.g. pink, red and orange can be washed together). Colour-catching laundry sheets are a great invention – thanks to them, even if a more vivid colour appears in the wash, there's no risk of the garment losing its original colour.
- It's worth washing coloured clothes inside out to prevent pilling and colour loss.
- The washing temperature is very important – for lighter stains, 30 degrees is the optimal choice, as it prevents whites from greying and keeps colours vivid for longer.
- Stains should be removed from clothes immediately after they occur, so they don't penetrate too deeply into the fibres.
- Coloured clothes shouldn't be dried in direct sunlight, as this risks fading. Before tumble drying, check the label to make sure it's allowed for the given type of fabric.
- When ironing, follow the recommended temperature and method, e.g. some fabrics like knitwear are best ironed inside out.
