Socks for kids
Foot protection is very important for everyone. Socks are meant not only to provide warmth, which becomes especially important in the colder months, but also to protect. Kids' socks should protect against chafing from shoes at any time of year. Feet are delicate and need protection. We know how important it is to choose the right shoes, and choosing socks is just as important, affecting children's overall comfort. Socks can also be treated as a fashionable accessory, a role in which colourful kids' socks work particularly well.
Kids' socks and their types
To best match sock models for children, our range includes both kids' footie socks and classic long cotton socks for kids. This makes it possible to find versions for every occasion and season in one place. Short models are chosen more often in summer and spring, long ones in winter and autumn, though this doesn't have to be the rule. Similarly, you can find single pieces as well as sets in various configurations, so you can adjust the quantity, type and colour of kids' cotton socks.
Socks for kids – what to look out for when choosing?
Kids' socks should have several features that guarantee they will perform their function well, and that children will like them. Above all, they must be comfortable. Putting them on and taking them off shouldn't be a challenge, even right after taking them out of the dryer. The seams at the toes must not irritate; they should be gentle, ideally unnoticeable. The elastic cuff must not be too tight, so that kids' socks don't squeeze or leave marks on delicate skin, but it also can't be too loose. Otherwise, the socks will slip down, which can be just as irritating. Additionally, good cotton socks for kids are durable and will last many days even without slippers on children's feet.
Kids' socks sizes
The more sizes available, the better the fit. We have introduced three kids' sizes, allowing for an optimal fit of kids' socks to their needs: sizes 23-26, 27-30 and 31-34. Within these ranges, you'll find a really wide selection of cotton socks for kids. You can also choose a model based on your child's age, and then check the size chart to see if the measurements match. This way, you'll select the right footie socks and longer models for your child.
Cotton socks for kids – what should their composition be?
Although it's commonly believed that the best kids' socks are made of 100% cotton, this isn't entirely accurate. It's definitely better to choose models with added materials. Nylon in the composition ensures that kids' socks stretch better, withstand deformation better and don't wear through as quickly. So you can forget about holes at the heels and toes. Socks made purely of cotton are much harder to put on, which can irritate even adults, let alone children. So there's no need to be afraid of kids' socks with a mixed composition, though it's worth checking whether it's just an addition or the majority of the composition.
